Procurement and Contracts Manager immediately required for a public body in Belfast. I am keen to speak with part qualified or qualified procurement professionals, procurement officers, category managers or buyers with public sector procurement experience. You will be working for a public sector contractor who manages a range of services for local government bodies.
As Procurement and Contracts Manager you will have overall responsibility for all procurement in the company. Working in a close knit team of procurement and contract administrators you will oversee two members of staff and it will be your job to ensure that performance is at all times in line with contract requirements. The procurement element of the job will require you to lead and manage a number of procurement processes, from specification stage through to tendering contract award and evaluation. You will lead from the front when it comes to procurement processes and in this position, you will be expected to keep abreast of any changes in public procurement regulation and case law.
To be successful in this Procurement and Contracts Manager job you should have a third level qualification and as a minimum one year's experience of managing public sector procurement's/contracts within EU procurement regulations. Competency in Microsoft packages and e-procurement systems is essential. Candidates who can demonstrate CIPS qualification or membership will be given preference for short listing purposes.
The salary scale for the successful Procurement and Contracts Manager is £30480 - £36019. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00 and ideally you should be able to start immediately.
