Job Title: Production Manager

Summary and Objectives:

  • Plans and Controls Production activities in 4 production applying the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
  • Efficient- achieve agreed planned targets, good activity planning and organization, efficient supply chain from goods in to dispatch and distribution.
  • People - motivation, training, performance measuring, good communication.
  • Quality Standards - Technical standards maintained and improved, good audit results
  • Machinery - maintained, efficient and effective
  • Customer - good service levels, good audit outcomes
  • Environment - factory maintenance, maximize effectiveness of waste contract, operate a health and safety standard complying with legislation

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Production long term planning, liase with Sales commercial function for efficient planning.
  • Cost effective purchasing and stock control to meet plan.
  • Lean process and supply chain, constant improvement.
  • Maintain and improve quality and consistency of all products produced.
  • Coordinate with despatch and distribution functions.
  • Staffing and staff training, conduct reviews, measure performance of key staff.
  • Report on productivity performance. Report key KPIs measuring and controlling productivity.
  • HACCP, Food safety and Hygiene prerequisites and Quality procedures followed throughout.
  • Project Manage new products and processes.
  • Health & Safety procedures developed and implemented within an agreed timeframe.
  • Any other duties from time to time.
