    Location: Co.Tyrone

    Salary: Attractive, negotiable

    Normal Hours of Work: 7:00am - 5:00pm Friday - Sunday

    My client is one of Northern Ireland's most successful and innovative manufacturers. They have a current opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join their Production & Engineering teams with primary responsibility for weekend supervision of the cross function production teams to deliver key performance indicators.

    The role

    Reporting to the Production Manager


    • Ensure production schedules are adhered to and proactively strive to increase production output, maintaining quality of output and endeavouring to reduce cost where possible;
    • Ensure stock levels of materials for production and repairs (spares) are maintained and reported to the Works Manager;
    • Plan maintenance, and co-ordinate machine down time and repairs;
    • Ensure employee compliance with health and safety procedures and legislation;
    • Responsible for safe and proper storage of PPE and health and safety gear and issuing to employees;
    • Maintain and improve/review standards for good housekeeping and tidiness of yard and work areas;
    • Liaise with Production and Human Resources regarding monitoring of employee performance including attendance, timekeeping and holiday management;
    • Assist with co-ordinating and processing of wages for weekly paid employees;
    • Any other duties commensurate with the role and within capabilities

    Essential Criteria

    • Knowledge and operational experience of supervising manufacturing process and environment
    • Knowledge and experience of supervising a production team
    • Previous experience in routine and preventative maintenance programmes
    • Previous experience of quality control
    • Computer Literate

    Desirable Criteria

    • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
    • Valid Fork-truck licence
    • Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
