A growing manufacturer in County Tyrone is seeking to appoint a Purchasing and Materials Manager on a permanent basis. I want to hear from Materials Managers, Materials Supervisors, Purchasing Managers, Qualified Purchasing Professionals and Senior Buyers who are ready for a new challenge.
It is an exciting time for my client, who have business for over twenty years. With a workforce of over four hundred, they are rapidly expanding. Having experienced steady year on year growth for a sustained period of time, this innovative and forward thinking business are now seeking to appoint a Purchasing and Materials Manager to streamline procurement and materials policies and procedures to support the business going forward.
As Materials Manager, you will report to the CEO. This is a new position within the business and you will be responsible for developing, streamlining and implementing materials, procurement and supply chain strategies that will strengthen the business. It will be your job to ensure that materials are available at the right place, at the right time across the Supply Chain. My client are keen that you will bring 'fresh eyes' to the business and be able to drive cost savings and business improvement initiatives that will, ultimately, impact the bottom line.
Remuneration will be tailored for the successful candidate. This is a senior level job and the successful Purchasing and Materials Manager should expect to enjoy a competitive remuneration and benefits package. You will be given a high level of responsibility and autonomy and the right person may even have the opportunity to sit on the Senior Management board.
In order to be successful in this Purchasing and Materials Manager role you should have substantial experience in a similar position - this could be in Materials Management, Purchasing/Procurement or Supply Chain Management. You should have a strong track record of continuous improvement, materials management, supplier management, negotiation and cost reduction. You should be able to work cross functionally and have experience in preparing reports for Senior Management.
