A leading CEM manufacturer in North Down has partnered with Grafton Procurement and Supply to recruit for a Purchasing Manager. My client, who are a short commute from Lisburn; design and manufacture bespoke electronic solutions for companies across the globe. Their customers include some of Northern Ireland's most well-known employers. This is a permanent job and a unique and exciting chance for an experienced Purchasing Manager, procurement professional or Senior Buyer to join a renowned manufacturing business. You will be working for an established company and as Purchasing Manager will have the autonomy and scope to drive policies and processes that will have a real impact on the bottom line.
As Purchasing Manager you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for the entire operational purchasing function. You will use your experience to lead a busy procurement department through a sustained period of growth. Managing a team of Buyers and Expeditors you will engage with a global supply chain in a fast-moving, fluid environment. Key responsibilities will include vendor management, contract negotiation and supplier management to drive continuous improvement.
The successful Purchasing Manager can expect an industry-leading package to include a base salary of up to £40000 (dependant on experience), private healthcare, pension, free parking and more. The successful Purchasing Manager will work 08-00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 - 13.00 Friday. You will enjoy 25 days holidays plus 8 statutory days and you will be working in a dynamic, supportive environment. My client support learning and development and the successful candidate may have the opportunity to pursue CIPS qualification.
In order to be successful, you should have substantial purchasing experience at Senior Buyer level or above. Experience should be from a manufacturing/engineering environment and should include managing suppliers from EMEA. Purchasing Managers, Procurement professionals or Senior Buyers meeting this minimum criterion are all eligible to apply. Although not essential, preference will be given to candidates who have MRP experience and/or a CIPS qualification.
