QFA Customer Care Administrator | Mortgage Arrears | Banking/Financial Services

The Client: Located in Dublin city centre, our client is a leading financial services provider with a well established retail network. Our client is committed to providing simplified financial services solutions to their clients. They are currently experiencing growth in the market with a range of innovative products tailored to suit customer's needs.

The Role: As a MARS Customer Care Administrator, you will be required to support key functions within the Asset Management Unit. You will be responsible for managing customer's mortgage re-structure requests and all associated administration. The key duties will include:

  • Handle customer mortgage restructuring queries within company policy and the appropriate regulatory requirements
  • Handle all incoming calls from customers, branches and authorised 3rd parties
  • Engage and negotiate with customers on the phone to deliver the optimum solution for both the customer and company
  • Provide advice and communicate options to customers in line with CCMA and CPC guidelines
  • Explaining the Alternative Restructure Arrangement process to borrowers and referring to relevant departments if and when required
  • Carry out all duties in a professional manner while adhering to company credit policies and procedures in relation to control, compliance and risk mitigation
  • Reviewing and updating customer information on relevant systems
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings
  • Participate in projects and focus groups as and when required

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week

Educational Requirements:

  • Fully/part qualified Financial Advisor or a minimum of APA status in Loans (Loans & Regulation) with up to date CPD hours
  • Third Level qualification in Business or equivalent qualification an advantage although not essential
  • A minimum education requirement of 5 passes in the Leaving Certificate including a pass in Maths and English (Higher or Ordinary level only, Foundation level subjects will not apply)


  • Previous experience in a financial institution in a credit/collections role, preferably with exposure to the mortgage arrears resolution process (MARP)
  • Experience in effective call handling with excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel (experience with financial/banking systems a distinct advantage
