Quantity Surveyor Role
As Quantity Surveyor you will establish contract budgets from tender estimates and management of same throughout the contract maximize project margins. You will have a proactive involvement in procurement, cost management and reporting. As Quantity Surveyor you will liaise with clients, Sub-Contractors, suppliers to ensure information; costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of each project. You will also provide Contractual advice to the Project Manager, set up files, variation document and finalise budgets with buyer for pricing.
What you need as Quantity Surveyor
You will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferably within a Design & Build main contractor. A detailed understanding of the commercial aspects of all main construction contracts is essential. Knowledge of traditional and design and build contracts would also be considered as essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Competent in the use of Microsoft packages, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook.
