Job Description

Our client in the Magherafelt area are actively looking to recruit a temporary Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join their team
£8.00p/hr

40 hrs per week

Duties Include :

Answering and forwarding telephone calls to a relevant department

- Meeting and greeting visitors and guests professionally, determining the nature and purpose of visit

- Keeping the reception area tidy

- To handle all incoming and outgoing post

- General secretarial/administration duties

Essential Criteria

Must have 5 Gcse's + Grade C and above plus 2 years experience in a similar role within the last 5 years

Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner

- Must be dependable and punctual

- Ability to prioritise tasks according to importance in a fast paced environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite

- Must be proficient in handing office equipment including telephone switchboard, printers, photocopiers etc.

An advantage will be given to those candidates who have previous experience in Accounts -

Accounts payable duties to include:

- Operating the accounts payable module in line with approved procedures and policies

- Ensuring all invoices are matched to delivery dockets and purchase orders

- Ensuring all invoices are coded to the correct cost centre and account code

- Processing purchase invoices onto the financial accounting system in a timely basis

- Generating BACS and cheque payment runs in line with supplier's payment terms

- Reconciliation of supplier statements, investigation and resolution of differences

- Production of monthly aged creditor listing, obtaining explanations for old or credit balances

- Dealing with supplier payment and invoicing queries
