Job Description

One of Ireland's leading and fastest growing bathroom products supplier is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic sales person for its fantastic showroom in Ballymena

Showroom Sales Advisor

£16.5k - £17k + Commission/Incentive Scheme - Salary will be based on experience

Essential Criteria :

  • 5 GCSE's including Maths and English Language, passed at Grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Experience in the use of MS office( including Word, Excel and Outlook )
  • Extensive experience in the use of ICT
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Good Understanding of sales and the sales process
  • Fully computer literate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Accurate and thorough approach
  • Motivated team player
  • Good problem solving ability
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to work during late night openings and Saturdays
  • Professional tidy experience

Desirable Criteria:

  • IT qualification e.g ECDL, CLAIT
  • NVQ level 2, or equivalent, in a Customer Service or Administration related subject
  • A minimum of 1yrs experience in a similar role ( within the last 4 years )
  • Experience of maintaining and developing databases
  • Experience in a similar role within a retail environment
  • Experience in a showroom sales environment
  • Experience of dealing effectively with customer queries including dealing with challenging and concerned individuals

Main Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly and timely manner when they enter the store
  • Developing a good understanding of all product range and keeping up to date with new products as they come on stream
  • Assisting customers with product queries and offering advice
  • Processing orders
  • Keeping sales lead sheet up to date
  • Following up customer leads in a timely manner by phone
  • Processing telephone orders
  • Providing excellent customer service on telephone and in store
  • Following up customers after completion of bathroom installation to ensure they are fully satisfied
  • Utilising Gumtree and other online sales tools to ensure maximum customer exposure
  • Ensuring showroom and kitchen etc... areas are all kept tidy
  • Maintain products on display, ensuring all items are priced accurately and are entered on the website
  • Maintain brochures ensuring that they are well stocked
  • Attend meetings when requested
  • Liaise with suppliers and processing product returns
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer details and dispose of such details when necessary

Employees must accept any training to facilitate the undertaking of duties: the training to include:

  • Refresher Training
  • Any applicable mandatory Health and Safety Training
