Grafton Specialist has been exclusively retained by long established Main Contractor to assist the recruitment of a talented Site Manager. Our Client has been in business for over 60 years and has established themselves as a leading contractor within a number of fields. Our Clients core business is the delivery of projects ranging from £250k - £15M including refurbishment and new build. They carry out work in all sectors of the market, with a presence in commercial, private residential and health.
As Site Manager
The role of Site Manager will report to the Contract Manager and oversee the build. The function of the Site manager is to provide hands on leadership of the construction/production teams ensuring the contract proceeds safely in accordance with agreed plans and programmes and is completed in accordance with project specification and drawings. You will ensure that the project is completed to the best industry standards and to the Client's and the company's satisfaction in terms of safety, cost, time and quality.
What you need
You will have at least 5 years experience in a similar role and have managed projects up to £15M. The Site Manager will be responsible for driving quality on-site. You will be able to work to tight deadlines and have the ability to communicate at all levels. You will hold relevant first aid and health and safety tickets. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and must have experience in commercial & Retail projects. You must show strong problem solving skills, have the ability to give clear direction and to identify and develop talent. Additionally you must show the ability to produce implementation plans to ensure that targets are met, prioritising workload effectively.
