IT Support Engineer/ Supervisor - Attractive Salary, with ancillary benefits

Grafton Technology has been retained by a leading company in the Belfast area for the provision of an In-house IT support engineer in an expanding team.

This is an ideal opportunity for a 2nd line engineer to work for a company who are highly regarded for investing heavily in their employee's long term career. You will be able to can demonstrate experience in Supervision to ensure the operational management of the ICT Helpdesk, including: the incident ticketing system is fully utilized to optimise service delivery, resources are available to provide necessary levels of service throughout the service window, incidents are prioritised based on need and severity and the IT team are working collaboratively to deliver a first class service to customers.

This is a customer centric role so it is essential that you can demonstrate excellent customer service skills, in person, by phone and by email. The core aspects of the role include:

  • Member support for 700+ users in a bring your own device environment
  • Hardware/Software Support & Instillation
  • Data Back-up & Encryption
  • Microsoft Office 365 exchange
  • WLan/Lan configuration & Support
  • Staff support
  • Server/switch administration (SBS 2011, Microsoft Azure)
  • Active Directory, Sophos Anti-virus, Pure message, File management
  • Web content management


  • Demonstrate experience of ICT Help Desk operational management/supervision (a minimum of 2 years of experience gained in the last 5 years)
  • ITIL Certified or working towards the certiciation
  • Microsoft Windows server operating systems up to and including Server 2012
  • Server Virtualization (VMware or Hyper V)
  • experience in licensing and administering Office 365
  • Strong experience in Desktop and Mobile Devices - OS's and applications - (Apple and Microsoft)
  • Network Architectures and Protocols and Security - knowledge and experience in Wired and Wireless Network setup and administration
