Software Support Engineer (.Net & SQL) - Daily Rate: £200/£250 - 18 Month Contract
Grafton Technology has been exclusively retained to recruit a Software Support Engineer for a leading, global manufacturing firm based in Lisburn. This position is on an ongoing temporary contract - the contract is guaranteed to last 18 months with the potential of being extended.
You will work with the field service and software development teams. As the software service engineer, you will help lead customer software installations and troubleshoot issues. This can be supported both remotely and locally on site (customer support for .NET and SQL Server software installations).
This role will involve providing first and second level support for problem resolution, including reproduction of customer issues, reporting defects and providing workarounds to customers. You will be working closely with the Product and Development teams to facilitate case resolution.
* 3 years experience in a similar role
* Previous experience installing .NET based applications, and diagnosing potential issues found
* Experience configuring and installing different versions of SQL Server
* Experience describing problems to software developers (to aid fixing the problems)
