Job Description

Technical Training Specialist(CNC)

Belfast

Grafton HR is presently representing a leading manufacturer based in the greater Belfast area, with the appointment of a Technical training Specialist on a full time permanent basis.

The Role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager , the Technical Trainer will be responsible for identifying, developing training materials and packages, co-ordinating, delivering training and completing all documentation and reports associated with training activities within manufacturing.

Duties

Identify the training needs for manufacturing personnel, to improve the department's performance and efficiency in all key performance indicators

Develop training materials and packages, with support from all manufacturing departments, the Quality Department, Human Resources and external sources

Plan, co-ordinate and carry out training activities in conjunction with manufacturing management

Evaluate training activities and implement improvements

Complete all documentation, training matrices and reports associated with training activities, in line with the quality management system

Work with the relevant departments to train employees on all new quality and operational procedures, to ensure smooth and successful new product launches

Liaise with Learning and Development/Human Resources regarding training budget control

Maintain, control and promote good housekeeping and 5S principles

Participate with team working, information sharing and Continuous Improvement Programmes

Ensure compliance with all quality, health, safety and environmental policies and management systems

The Person

Essential

Third level qualification in an engineering, technical or training discipline

Previous experience of product, process and quality in a manufacturing environment

Previous experience in identification of training needs and delivering training

Demonstrated commitment to HSE, housekeeping and 5S principles

Desirable

Experience in CNC machining

Experience of working within an ISO/ TS16949 environment

Experience in the development of training manuals and materials
