Job Description

Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of our client who are seeking a Training Events Team Leader to join their team asap.

This role is on a 8 month Fixed Term Contract basis, working full time Monday-Friday 0900-1730. The role will be based in Belfast City Centre, with a salary in the region of £20000-£23000 per annum dependant on experience.

Job Description:

  • Daily responsibility for managing service delivery across all programmes that the team are responsible for - including management of workloads amongst team members, including holiday cover and responsibility for quality standards of all outputs and administration processes
  • Team supervision - recruitment, training, performance management, on-going coaching and development of the team
  • Managing some of the team virtually through regular contact
  • Key point of contact within team for all events administration
  • Building strong client relationships to facilitate open and honest discussions on performance
  • Implementation of continuous service improvements in order to achieve service efficiencies and enhancements
  • Implementation of new event management software
  • Management of 2 training events
  • Ad hoc project work

Candidate Criteria:

  • Supervisory experience (at least 6 months) essential
  • Prior experience of supervising administrative staff essential
  • A background in event or project management experience desirable
  • Previous professional services experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of booking meetings and events - experience of logistics essential
  • Exceptional administrative stills and a high attention to detail
  • Experience of training and arranging logistics within a large corporate organisation desirable
  • Able to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Able to work to deadlines, multi task projects and deliver under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Computer literate with exceptional knowledge of MS Office - advanced with Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Willingness to work extra hours if required, as well as national travel on a regular basis and international travel on rare occasions
