Job Description

Based in Ballyclare, the successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to support the daily running of the department ensuring achievement of operational targets. Effective delegation to Operatives whilst providing close supervision in terms of shift productivity, performance, absence management, training and development, continuous improvement and quality control.

Main duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the job functions associated with Workshop ensuring high standards of quality control and output

  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
  • Provide regular and appropriate operational communication to management and team members
  • Proactively plan the utilisation of manpower in line with set targets and assign tasks accordingly to team members
  • Actively review all department tasks with the aim of continuous improvement and development
  • Training, development and completion of performance reviews of new team members
  • Closely monitor absence, timekeeping and holiday levels and take appropriate action where required
  • Ensure high level of quality control on all tasks
  • Enforce health and safety and housekeeping procedures including the wheel machine
  • Enforce company policies and procedures amongst team members
  • Any other duties required by Management

Essential Criteria:

    • 2 years experience in a supervisory position in repair and maintenance of bikes and pre delivery inspection of orders
    • Proven success in delivering operational KPI's on a consistent basis
    • Proven employee relations experience (i.e., investigations, discipline hearings)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarisation of bike products
  • Workshop experience
  • Cytech qualification (Level 3) or similar industry recognised qualification
