Job Description

Do you want to help set up a new company which is unique in the local market?

My client is a UK based company who specialises in mobile and web application development with a strong emphasis on high quality service and technological advancement. Due to massive success and investment from Invest NI, they are opening their brand new hub in Derry/Londonderry at the beginning of December.

Having already recruited 3 members of staff, they are looking to recruit a further 3 to set up the local office:

Junior Web Developer - 1+ years experience

Intermediate Web Developer - 3+ years experience

Senior Web Developer - 7+ years experience

What you will be doing:

  • Creating high quality, testable code in a team environment with an open and supportive review process to help drive personal improvement and reduce bugs
  • Working on high-availability, scaleable web apps
  • Creating exciting new products while supporting and improving existing applications
  • Be involved at every step of the process: from initial scoping and database architecture to bug fixing and deployments
  • Working to clearly defined briefs and timeframes to deliver solutions to staff and customers
  • Providing documentation (technical and testing) pertaining to your work
  • Doing research to overcome technical problems and barriers encountered
  • Working with the team to overcome knowledge gaps, find solutions to problems and help the team progress

Experience/skills required:

  • Demonstrable commercial development experience
  • University degree (will accept significant experience in lieu of qualifications)
  • Demonstrable experience in:
  • Object Oriented PHP
  • MySQL
  • Javascript frameworks (including jQuery)
  • Responsive CSS
  • Cross Browser Testing
  • Knowledge of the Laravel framework

Experience/skills desired:

  • Linux (Ubuntu) Server Deployment
  • Apache Web Server
  • API Integration
  • UI development
