Job Description
Work Controllers required for large Public Sector Client on a temporary basis, £12.07p/h
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Work Control
- Management of relevant work banks to
- prioritise and process planned and reactive work to agreed service delivery targets
- contribute to the improvement of field functions performance
- Review work orders to
- ensure location, asset and job details are correct before issuing to Field Technicians and contractors
- manage status updates from Field Technicians and contractor crews
- manage exceptions such as rejections, cancellations, foreclosures
- Create work as requested by Field Managers and others
- Participate in weekly Plan/Do/Review (PDR) process with Field Managers and plan work accordingly
- Manage crew unavailability
- Implement NISRANS Street-works processes
Communications
- Engage with field staff and contractors to support successful field operations.
- Keep work colleagues advised of all relevant operational issues
- Escalate urgent operational issues in a timely manner
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
Customer Satisfaction
- Schedule work in accordance with agreed service levels
- Provide timely updates to the Customer Relations Centre upon request
Continuous Improvement
- Support and participate in business improvement initiatives
- Provide feedback to operational business units
Teamwork
- Work closely with colleagues and management to achieve individual and team goals
- Liaise with Telemetry colleagues to share information and ensure continuity of service
- Participate in Major Incident events including working out of local 'Bronze' hub locations if required
Essential Criteria
Applicants must be able to demonstrate on CV
Essential
- Experience in the use of complex computer systems and processes to meet core business requirements e.g., The Mobile Work Management System
- Experience of planning work effectively in order to ensure targets are met
- Experience of working with others and delivering good teamwork
- Knowledge of the activities of customer facing field functions
- Experience of good communications and establishing good working relationships both internally and outside the WCC
- Ability to achieve high level of work accuracy
- A requirement to participate in an out of hours standby and overtime rota as well as a requirement to work overtime, including weekends, bank holidays and privilege holidays
- Access to a form of transport which will unable to fulfil your responsibilities
